Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions:

Q: Can I ask for something that isn't on your song list? A: Absolutely! In fact, unlike other musicians, I do not charge extra for those requests, either. All I ask is that they are given to me well in advance so that I have enough time to learn them.

Q: Do you hire / work with other musicians? For instance, if I really wanted a string quartet, or a duo of you and another player, would that be possible? A: No, I do not subcontract other musicians, nor do I work with those I do not know. I am currently working on exciting special duo projects (TBA), but for now I am a solo artist only. I also play with custom backing tracks, which make it sound like I'm playing with other instruments behind me, so I promise you will not miss them! ; )

Q: Do you play outdoor weddings / events? A: Yes! However, the outside temperature must be at least 65 degrees, or it will be too cold outside for both myself and my violin; in addition, rain is extremely detrimental to my instruments, so having an indoor contingency is crucial in case the weather doesn't cooperate!

Q: How far will you travel to play at my wedding / special event? A: Up to an hour and 45 minutes (one way) is covered in my current pricing; if you are further away, I will need to add a surcharge to cover the additional time and mileage on my vehicle.

Q: Do you take requests during the wedding / event? A: It depends; if I already know the song, and have the accompanying track to play with, then yes! However, if I don't know the song already, then it is a no. But I'm always learning new songs and adding them to my list to accommodate more requests.

Q: If there is an emergency and you cannot play for my wedding / event, do you have a substitute or some kind of contingency plan? A: Yes. I partner with many very talented musicians who can take my place if the need should arise.
